Established in 1978, Oh Matilda! is an eclectic salon owned by the husband & wife design team of John and Mari Samluk. Oh Matilda! Is named after John’s mother, who was essential in guiding John to the path of hairdressing, making John the twelfth hairdresser in a family of hairdressers !! Without the backing (in more ways than one) of John’s father, Jesse, the salon would never have come to fruition. With advanced education from a wide variety of industry greats too numerous to mention (including the Vidal Sassoon Academy,Santa Monica, CA) the salon is home to John & Mari, internationally trained stylists and colorists, who together share 83 years of combined experience. They are devoted to hair coloring, expertise with natural curl, and the latest industry trends. They utilize nothing less than the industry’s top professional products to reinforce their skills. The main goal is to provide you, our guests, with the highest quality service in a warm, friendly, peaceful & artistic environment. We charge 50% cancellation fee for any cancellation less than 24 hour notice , 100 % for a no show appointment.
